The Recovery - Sound

Before going to the production stage there are some technical aspects to be analysed. Because sound department is relatively new for me there are a lot to be covered.

Perspective is the matching of the sound recording to the characteristics of the picture. An early question that came to my mind was: Should I match camera perspective, shot by shot, to what the audience sees? I found out that in early productions such match wasn't rare; however, there was a very noticeable change in the amount of reverberation between a long shot and a close up, for example.

What microphone to use? I've read in different sources that the hypercardioid mic normally strips away the natural quality of the sound. But is seems to me that this mic is the best option to record the dialogues.

Inspiration: I've gotta to be honest, I've never payed the appropriate attention to sound in film; unless it had a catch tune.  Yesterday, in one of my classes, it was shown a film that has blew me away, sound wise speaking. Blade Runner (1982), It's true that I had seen the film previously, but listening to the its sound (mostly non digestive) made me stay and watch the film again; well… most of it. Anyway, the subtle manner in which sound changes according to the scene mood and/or the character shown is great. I've also notice that, computer screens 'make noise'.
